Question 1

Is the app free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Seek & Win is free to download and free to play, with nothing to buy in the app. Prizes are supplied by brands and coupons are funded by whoever issues them, never by players.

Question 2

What kind of prizes can I win?

Accepted Answer

Every treasure is a real product supplied by a partner brand. Depending on the hunt: full-size products, food and drinks, merch, and more. Hunts can also drop coupons, issued by the brand, the venue or one of its shops.

Question 3

Do I have to keep the app open?

Accepted Answer

No. Once you have joined a hunt, you can lock your phone and go about your visit. While you are at the venue, the app notifies you when a treasure or a coupon drops close to you. Then open the hunt and go find it.

Question 4

Is it available on Android?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Seek & Win launches on iOS and Android at the same time, and the Android app offers the same hunts, treasures and coupons as the iPhone app.

Question 5

How do I win a treasure?

Accepted Answer

Each hunt drops treasures and coupons during the session, at times and places nobody knows in advance. The first player to reach a treasure and find it in AR wins it. A coupon drop has several copies and stays open until they run out. A hunt can cap how many items one player wins, so everyone gets a chance. After a win, you receive a unique QR code to redeem at the partner venue.

Question 6

How do I redeem my prize?

Accepted Answer

After a win, your QR code appears in the app. Show it to the staff at the partner venue and they'll hand over your prize. A coupon works the same way, at the counter or in the shop that issued it. Each code has a redemption window shown in the app, so make sure to claim your prize before it expires.

Question 7

What do I need to play?

Accepted Answer

An iPhone running iOS 17.4 or later, or an Android phone running Android 8 or later that supports ARCore (Google Play Services for AR), with camera and location access enabled, and notifications on so the app can tell you when something drops near you. Hunts are location-based, so you'll need to physically be at the partner venue to play.

Question 8

What happens to my data?

Accepted Answer

Your location serves three purposes. During a hunt you have joined, it is used in the background too, only in or near the venue and until the session ends. The screens that need it use it only while they are shown. And the nearby-hunt alerts, if you turn that option on, use the position saved while the app is open. Usage statistics are sent only if you agree in the app, and you can turn them off in Settings › Privacy. Crash reports contain no personal data, stay on our own servers in Europe, and can be turned off in Settings › Diagnostics. You can export your data or delete your account at any time, directly from the app settings.

Question 9

How many prizes are in a hunt?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the hunt. Each session has its own list of treasures and coupon drops, set out in its game rules, and a session can have several winners. During the hunt, the app shows how many are left, never when or where the next one drops.

Question 10

Why does the app use my location in the background?

Accepted Answer

To tell you when a treasure or a coupon drops close to you, without keeping the app open. It happens only during a hunt you have joined, and only while you are inside the venue or within a short distance of its edge (500 m by default). Further away, background tracking pauses, and everything stops when the session ends or when you leave the hunt. Outside a hunt you have joined, the app never uses your location in the background. Your position is never used for advertising, and you can withdraw your consent at any time in Settings › Location.

Question 11

Who issues coupons?

Accepted Answer

The brand of the hunt, the venue, or one of the venue's shops. Each coupon shows who issued it, its discount, how long it is valid and where to use it. When you use a coupon in a shop, the shop sees only the coupon code.

Question 12

How do I know a hunt is on near me?

Accepted Answer

Turn on the Nearby Hunts alerts in Settings then Notifications. You get at most one digest a day of the hunts near you that day, at a set time in your timezone, and an alert when a session nearby is about to start. The app relies on the position saved the last time you opened it, never on background tracking.

Question 13

How much does it cost?

Accepted Answer

Nothing for the whole of phase 1: no subscription, no hardware, no setup fees. Prizes are supplied by brands, or by you if you choose to.

Question 14

Do I need technical skills?

Accepted Answer

Not at all. Our intuitive dashboard lets you create and manage hunts without any technical expertise. We also provide onboarding support.

Question 15

How do players find my venue?

Accepted Answer

Active hunts appear on the in-app map. Players in your area can discover your venue and join active treasure hunts.

Question 16

What types of venues work best?

Accepted Answer

Mid-size regional shopping centres first, then retail parks and outlet villages. A hunt with three players is not a hunt. What we need is player density inside one building, which means a large indoor footprint with existing weekend footfall. Not yet: festivals, airports and stadiums. They are one-off and seasonal, and they do not compound player density. We would rather tell you that now than sell you a session that does not work.

Question 17

Can I see analytics in real time?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Your venue dashboard shows live player activity, session metrics, and engagement data as it happens.

Question 18

How do I get started?

Accepted Answer

Reach out through our contact form. We'll visit or call to map your space, then send you an email invitation to set up your venue dashboard. Our team configures your first hunts with you.

Question 19

How is pricing structured?

Accepted Answer

There are no fixed tiers. Commercial terms, like venues, sessions, and prizes, are scoped and priced with our team based on your objectives. Coupon lots you drop into sessions are billed to your brand on the same contract.

Question 20

Can I choose which venues feature my products?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You select from our partner venue network based on location, category, and audience demographics.

Question 21

What analytics do I get?

Accepted Answer

Your brand dashboard follows every session from notification to counter: how many players were notified, how many found your products and coupons, and how many redeemed them in the building.

Question 22

How is this different from traditional sampling?

Accepted Answer

Traditional sampling is passive handouts. With Seek & Win, consumers actively discover your product through gameplay, creating emotional engagement designed for stronger brand recall.

Question 23

How do I launch a campaign?

Accepted Answer

Contact us with your objectives. We scope the commercial terms together, including venues and pricing, then you receive an email invitation to your brand dashboard to follow every session.
