Every treasure is a real product supplied by a partner brand. Depending on the hunt: full-size products, food and drinks, merch, and more. Hunts can also drop coupons, issued by the brand, the venue or one of its shops.

No. Once you have joined a hunt, you can lock your phone and go about your visit. While you are at the venue, the app notifies you when a treasure or a coupon drops close to you. Then open the hunt and go find it.

Yes. Seek & Win launches on iOS and Android at the same time, and the Android app offers the same hunts, treasures and coupons as the iPhone app.

Each hunt drops treasures and coupons during the session, at times and places nobody knows in advance. The first player to reach a treasure and find it in AR wins it. A coupon drop has several copies and stays open until they run out. A hunt can cap how many items one player wins, so everyone gets a chance. After a win, you receive a unique QR code to redeem at the partner venue.

After a win, your QR code appears in the app. Show it to the staff at the partner venue and they'll hand over your prize. A coupon works the same way, at the counter or in the shop that issued it. Each code has a redemption window shown in the app, so make sure to claim your prize before it expires.

An iPhone running iOS 17.4 or later, or an Android phone running Android 8 or later that supports ARCore (Google Play Services for AR), with camera and location access enabled, and notifications on so the app can tell you when something drops near you. Hunts are location-based, so you'll need to physically be at the partner venue to play.

Your location serves three purposes. During a hunt you have joined, it is used in the background too, only in or near the venue and until the session ends. The screens that need it use it only while they are shown. And the nearby-hunt alerts, if you turn that option on, use the position saved while the app is open. Usage statistics are sent only if you agree in the app, and you can turn them off in Settings › Privacy. Crash reports contain no personal data, stay on our own servers in Europe, and can be turned off in Settings › Diagnostics. You can export your data or delete your account at any time, directly from the app settings.

It depends on the hunt. Each session has its own list of treasures and coupon drops, set out in its game rules, and a session can have several winners. During the hunt, the app shows how many are left, never when or where the next one drops.

To tell you when a treasure or a coupon drops close to you, without keeping the app open. It happens only during a hunt you have joined, and only while you are inside the venue or within a short distance of its edge (500 m by default). Further away, background tracking pauses, and everything stops when the session ends or when you leave the hunt. Outside a hunt you have joined, the app never uses your location in the background. Your position is never used for advertising, and you can withdraw your consent at any time in Settings › Location.

The brand of the hunt, the venue, or one of the venue's shops. Each coupon shows who issued it, its discount, how long it is valid and where to use it. When you use a coupon in a shop, the shop sees only the coupon code.

Turn on the Nearby Hunts alerts in Settings then Notifications. You get at most one digest a day of the hunts near you that day, at a set time in your timezone, and an alert when a session nearby is about to start. The app relies on the position saved the last time you opened it, never on background tracking.
