1. Organizer
The game is organized by the legal entity that operates Seek & Win (the "Organizer"), publisher of the augmented-reality treasure-hunt game "Seek & Win" and of seekandwin.world. Its legal name, legal form, registration and address are stated in each Session's own rules, available in the app. The Organizer offers free game sessions with no purchase required (the "Sessions") inside partner venues. These framework rules apply to all Sessions. Each Session's specifics (dates and times, venue, the list of treasures and coupons at stake, the commercial value of the prizes, the per-participant limits) are set out in its own rules and on its page in the app, and form an inseparable part of these rules. The French version prevails in case of conflict.
2. Duration and schedule
Each Session takes place on the dates and times shown on its page in the app. During the Session, the items to find appear at times that are not announced in advance, each for a limited time. Times are authoritative as recorded by the Organizer's servers. The Organizer may postpone, shorten, suspend, or cancel a Session in case of force majeure or technical failure.
3. Venue and physical presence
Each Session takes place exclusively within the geographic boundary of the partner venue shown on its page. An item can only be won by a participant inside this boundary, verified by server-side geolocation. Leaving the venue carries no penalty: the participant simply receives no alerts while outside the venue.
4. Participation requirements
Participation is entirely free of charge, with no purchase required, to join a Session as well as to win. It is reserved for adults aged 18 or over. It requires the free "Seek & Win" iOS app, a player account with a valid email address and a date of birth (one account per person), a compatible device, and the participant's consent to the use of their location. Age is checked at registration and again before each participation. An account with no date of birth or showing an age under 18 cannot take part. Persons directly involved in organizing the Session are excluded.
5. Game mechanics and winner determination
Each Session has a list of items to find, published in its rules: treasures, each tied to a prize (product and commercial value), and coupons (issuer, discount, quantity, validity). During the Session, each item appears in augmented reality inside the venue, at a time and place that are not announced in advance, for a limited time. A participant who has joined the Session receives a notification when an item appears near them. Participants see how many items are left, never their time or place in advance.
The first participant to find a treasure, by collecting it in the app within the catch radius, wins it. A coupon is won by each participant who collects it, until its quantity runs out. A Session can therefore have several winners. Wins are recorded by the Organizer's servers, whose decision is final, subject to the anti-fraud checks (section 8).
6. Per-participant limits
Each Session's rules may cap the number of treasures and coupons one participant can win during the Session. Once the limit is reached, the participant no longer receives alerts for those items and can no longer win them. The app offers nothing to buy: nothing can raise these limits or improve the chances of winning.
7. Prizes, coupons, and collection
Prizes are products supplied in kind by the partner brand. Their commercial value (incl. VAT) is stated in the Session's rules and on its page in the app. The winner of a treasure receives a win code / QR to present at the partner venue's counter to collect the prize. The code is valid for the period stated in the Session's own rules and shown on the win in the app. Once that period has passed, it is void without compensation. The prize cannot be exchanged, refunded, or converted into money.
Coupons are issued by the brand, by the partner venue or by one of its shops, and the discount is funded by their issuer. Each coupon states its issuer, its discount, its validity and where to use it: at the venue counter or in the shop that issued it. It is subject to its own terms.
8. Fraud and anti-cheat
The Organizer runs server-side detection of GPS location spoofing and other forms of cheating. Any proven fraud (location falsification, automated tools, multiple accounts, circumvention of presence rules) results in the cancellation of any winnings and exclusion, with the server's decision being final.
9. Personal data
The processing related to the game (player account, position during the Sessions a participant has joined, in the background only in or near the venue, proximity alerts triggered only inside the venue, the daily digest of nearby hunts and the "starting soon" alert for players who turn them on, measuring the time spent in the venue for the Session's report, anti-fraud measures, statistics) is described in our Privacy Policy. Participants have the rights provided by the GDPR, exercisable notably from within the app.
10. Liability and safety
Participants play at their own responsibility and agree to comply with the venue's internal rules and to remain aware of their physical surroundings, especially when following a notification or using augmented reality. The Organizer cannot be held liable for accidents caused by a participant's inattention, nor for network, notification or geolocation failures, to the extent permitted by law.
11. Acceptance, availability, and disputes
Taking part in a Session implies full acceptance of these framework rules, of the Session's own rules, of the Terms of Service, and of the Privacy Policy. Every Session has its own rules, published before it opens. They are available free of charge in the app, from the Session's page, and the player accepts them before joining the hunt. These framework rules are available on this page. A copy of either can be obtained on request at legal@seekandwin.world. These rules are governed by French law. Any claim must be sent to the Organizer within a reasonable time after the end of the Session.
